My first visit to Marina Barrage,

i didn’t expect it to be a very nice and relaxing place…

until i saw so many people flying kites and having picnic at the open space area!
i was quite reluctant to go…but it’s already time for dinner…
i swear i wanna go there again, spending the whole day, nua-ing and enjoy life! anyone interested?!

Had a quick shop around Bugis and decided to have dinner at this La Mian house
really recommend this place cox the foods are nice and is not very expensive, located beside Chapter 2 Bugis Village

i think their xiao long bao is nicer than ding tai feng’s

i didn’t know red bean paste can be so tasty!

generous portion of chicken, i think they gave half of the whole chicken!

the sour and spicy noodle is nice actually, but abit too hot for me, wish i can take spicier stuffs coz it really taste good!

Food, food and more food

I know it’s kind of random, but i suddenly got a craving for durians during lunch time while having my lunch.
Without any hesitation, my colleagues agreed to share a packet with me, bought from the fruit stall nearby! haha!

was not very nice thou, but just enough to satisfy my craving!

My first time in Jurong Hilltop Restaurant even though i lived in Jurong in my whole life till now and it exist way before i’m born.

It was drizzling and we could only take a cab there

Even though it was already past 8, we still have to wait for our turn in the waiting room.

It was funny because we were asked to put on the orange apron? when we entered the Teppanyaki room.

We ordered Teppanyaki and side dishes with my fav saba!
Overall, i feel that the food is only average, given the small portion, it totally does not justify the bill.
And i don’t know why, i don’t really like the Teppanyaki style as we can’t have a proper meal-conversation if there are more than 2 of us, and the sharing of a table with so many strangers is weird.

It was very kind and considerate of my colleagues to change their initial dinner plan to NYNY instead for me as i’ll need to rush off, after dinner, to meet my school project mates for a quick project discussion nearby.

As usual, we’ll order like some hungry ghosts whom have been starved for a year.

Happy Birthday Boy!

First of all, i owe my boy an apology for not buying a present for him on his birthday as i seriously have no time to shop for his present! It’s always already 10+pm when i’m done with my stuffs and by that time, all the shops are already closed. =(
But what is more important should be my presence, not my presents right boy!
Ok la, i’ll still compensate the present next time.

So on his birthday, i treated him to Paulaner Brauhaus.

when my pork knuckle arrived, my boy got a shock out of his life, coz it’s damn friggin huge, which is of a size of my head. hahaha!

and my boy ordered the different kinds of German sausages

of course i can’t finish it the pork knuckle and i called for dabao instead.
Was being laughed at by my boy coz he thinks that da bao at such places are so auntie. =_=
But, just that alone already cost 30++ bucks! It would be so wasteful of my money + food! LOL!

Anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY! you’re a year older. =P

Mid-Yr Review

Half day off for company’s mid year review session,
the same old thing, announcement of company’s progress so far, staff promotions, department’s rules and policies and most importantly, BONUS!

And congratulations to my cliques, Keline, Koklin and myself for being promoted to Senior Sales Consultant, Senior Creative Designer & Senior Systems Analyst respectively! WEE!
My director has also officially announced that i’m the IT Project Manager for JobsCentral! *stress*

Our company held this new Operations Awards – Most Hardworking Award & Best Work Quality Award.
Everyone in the company will have to cast a vote.

Winner will receive cash bonus + Award Certificate + Trophy from the company!

And the Most Hardworking Award goes to…

my clique people again. Diana Wong!
i think she really deserves the award, even the best work quality award, most of the time, she’s the one who reaches the office early and leave the last and she always produce great work.

Thanks to all my dear colleague’s vote, i got the Best Work Quality Award.

Seriously speaking, I really have doubts on myself & a bit guilty instead of getting happy having this award, don’t know why.
Maybe because i never had the idea that i’ll get this award, since there’re so many other colleagues doing better than me.
But still, getting this award is really an honor to myself, i can put this in my resume next time =X

Really appreciate those who voted for me, at the same time, it also shows that my hard work has been recognized and paid off! =)

Chomp Chomp

I’ve always heard about the famous Serangoon Chomp Chomp, but i’ve never went to have a taste of it before!
Thanks to my sporty colleagues, we went all the way to Serangoon on a Monday evening after work just for dinner! LOL!

Look at the dishes above! No-repeat, and guess how many of us? 6? Nope! only 4 to be exact! hahaha!
The tables were not even enough to lay out all the dishes, so we have to separate the orders in two rounds.
The sugarcane juice is one of the largest mug of drinks i’ve ever seen. We ordered one each and surprisingly, we are able to finish it up, including all the dishes!

The foods tasted exceptionally delicious, especially the Satay and the Hokkien Mee! MUST TRY!
All of us feels soo contented after the meal!
We shall have another Chomp Chomp session next time!
